Nazerzadeh Kermani Prize to be awarded in University Theater Festival PDF Print E-mail

The prize for the research section of the thirteenth International University Theater Festival is to be awarded in the name of Dr Farhad Nazerzadeh Kermani.This festival is to be held from April 30 to May 8. 2010 in Tehran.

Amir Hosseini Hariri- The head of the thirteenth University Theater Festival announced that the research prize of this festival is named after Dr Farhad Nazerzadeh Kermani. He said: Winning and award named after one of the country's greatest researchers and academics is definitely a great honor for the recipient.


He added: This year's festival is paying a special attention to the research and education; therefore, the works of great Iranian and foreign theater academics will be discussed. Hariri said: Since many of Iranian Theater artists have been the students of Dr Nazerzadeh Kermani the secretariat if the festival decided to name the research award after this prominent researcher. He will also assist us in evaluating the works. About the structural reformation of the research section he said:

In the previous festivals we had translation and essay sections, since it was possible to considers these works in the university research section we decided to plan the new system around several specific pivots so that the educational and research aims of the festival are better observed. "Experimental theater" and "Iranian Theater History" are the pivots of this year's theater research section. Hariri said: A great number of essays and translations have been sent to the secretariat of the festival and many students in different universities are compiling their essays in groups for taking part in the festival.

The thirteenth International University Theater Festival is to be held from April 30 to May 8. 2010 in Tehran.
