The festival will play host to a number of performances from Bulgaria, India and Hong Kong and Iran on its first day.
Tehran’s City Theater Complex will be hosting four plays; the main hall will stage the play “Thorn-apple” from Bulgaria, and its Chaharsu Hall will host “Artificial” by Hadi Amel.
Qashqaii Hall of the complex will show “Verdict of Shaghad” by Jamal Foadian and the Sayeh Hall will stage “If One Night in Tehran, A Passenger” by Ali Shams and Ali Jamshidi.

Tehran’s Sangelaj Hall is hosting Hossein Babaii’s “Colic” and Iranshahr Hall will host two plays from Hong Kong and India.
The open space of the City Theater Complex will show two plays; one from Quchan, Khorasan Razavi Province, and the other from Sari, Mazandaran Province.
Valiollah Torabi (better known as Morshed Torabi) will present a storytelling performance at the teahouse section of the festival, while there are also several programs arranged specifically for children.
The festival will run through August 7.
