The House of Music Celebration announced its winners during a ceremony held Monday at the Vahdat Hall The winners were announced in three sections: books published on music since 2006, albums as well as the winner of the Meshkatian Special Award.

The celebration was held on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of establishment of the house. “Ghafe Eashgh”, an album by vocalist Alireza Qorbani and Eshtiaq ensemble ranks first among seven albums on the short list at the Album Section.

Santur virtuoso Masud Aramesh won the Meshkatian Special Award for his solo performance and composer Asghar Mohammadi was awarded for his innovative piece played on the zarb.

In Instruction Book Section, “Qanun Instrument Instruction” by Maliheh Saeidi won the first award. “Bards of Northern Khorasan” by Ameneh Yusefzadeh won the first award in the Research Book Section.

In the Translated Book Section, Ali Shadkam’s translation of Charles Fonton’s “A Book on Eastern Music in Comparison with European Music” was awarded with the first prize.
