Carpet Festival in Sa'ad Abad PDF Print E-mail

The Sa'ad Abad Cultural Complex in Tehran is slated to hold Iran's 4th Festival of Exquisite Carpets and Hand-Woven Tribal Products

“Some 22 artists from Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom and Na'in will present their works at the event which will be held in Sa'ad Abad's Museum of Fine Arts,”.

Carpets designed by renowned Iranian artist Mohammad-Ali Qarehbaghi will also be displayed for the first time at the event.Visitors will also get the chance to see tribal and nomadic tents, visit traditional restaurants and cafes, and take part in Kilim and carpet weaving workshops.

All foreign envoys in Iran have been invited to the event and many Iranians living abroad will also participate in the festival, ISNA reported.

The festival aims to introduce Iranian culture and art and displayed carpets will not be on sale

Iran's 4th Festival of Exquisite Carpets and Hand-Woven Tribal Products will be held from July 2 to 10, 2009.
