The 25th Fajr International Music Festival was brought to an end with the selection of winners in its six different categories.

The closing ceremony was held at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall where an official and musician Shaahin Farhat read the statement released by the jury. During the festival, eleven halls in Tehran hosted 107 performances by 13 pop bands, six classical ensembles, 12 traditional ensembles, seven choirs and 12 regional music ensembles. Iran’s first International Exhibition of Poster Designs will be held ; January 29 to February 4 on the theme of children’s cancer. Tehran’s Mahak Charity Society, an institute that supports Iranian children suffering cancer, will hold the exhibit on the theme of childhood cancer and corporate social responsibility.

The 4th Kish Handmade Carpet Export Expert Exhibition will be held in Kish Island from April 27 to 30 next year.

The Event is Organized by INCC and participation of 200 export carpet  producing co-ops in a space of 21 thousand sqm at Kish International Convention Center.

Fajr music festival in Tehran, Shiraz and Kerman PDF Print E-mail

The Fajr International Music Festival will be inaugurated in Tehran, Kerman and Shiraz concurrently on Friday.

Eleven halls in Tehran will host 107 performances during the festival by 13 pop bands, six classical ensembles, 12 traditional ensembles, seven choirs and 12 regional music ensembles that are taking part in the event. The festival aims to discover promising young ensembles and to promote regional music as well as connections between people and music, the festival secretary Mohammad Ali Khabari mentioned during a press conference.

First biennial on Niyayesh book illustrations has recieved 252 works by Iranian artists, while 207 works are by Iranian women artists.In this festival artists representing 28 provimces have participated while Khorasan,Tehran,Isphahan,Qom and Eastern Azerbayjan are at the top.

According to news site of IAF, Art Expo 2010 was opened with 400 art works 40 galleries at Iranian artists’ forum.

Eleven halls are specified to play the works of Fajr music festival in the provinces.the International event is organized annually to paste the way for music lovers to hear the latest artistic creations of Iranian and world artists.

Milad tower hall,Niavaran Cultural Center,Vahdat hall, Andishe hall, Soureh hall, along with other halls with 8500 seats are host to national and international groups in this year's festival.

25th Fajr music festival will be held ;7th to 13th Esfand (27th Feb-3rd Mar).

Iranian cartoonist Ali Shabani receives first prize at the 9th Tabriz International Cartoon Festival followed by winners representing Bulgaria and Turkey.
