Japan’s “Best Wishes for Tomorrow” won the Crystal Simorgh Prize for the Eastern Vista (competition of Asian cinema) of the 27th International Fajr Film Festival.
Takashi Koizumi’s 110-minute movie received the award from the jury of the section of the festival on February 3 at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall.
South Korean Jeon Soo-Il awarded the best director of the section for his movie “With a Girl of a Black Soil”.

Crystal Symorgh for feature debut went to Afghanistan’s Barmak Akram for “Kabul Kid”.
“I am happy that the prestigious Fajr film festival awarded a prize to an Afghan director,” Barmak said. “I dedicate my prize to the late Asghat Shahverdi.”
