Fajr filmfest adding two more Crystal Simorghs PDF Print E-mail

The 28th edition of the Fajr Film Festival is adding two more Crystal Simorghs to its previous awards.

According to the new regulations of the festival, the crystal simorghs will be awarded to the best short film  and best feature animations participating in the festival.

The Animation Festival is independently being held annually in Tehran. In addition, five more days are being added to the 10-day program this year. The festival has been divided into sections for Iran’s cinema and international cinema.

Iran's 2009 Cinema Verite to host 19 countries PDF Print E-mail

Productions representing 19 countries have been selected to participate in Iran's 2009 International Documentary Film Festival, Cinema Verite.

Organized by Iran's Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), the festival will screen 35 international films along with 105 films by Iranian directors in 13 different categories.

Short films representing 103 countries will be shown in the 26th Tehran film festival.The festivals public relations office presented a detailed report of the films and countries which adds up to 2491 films in this years festival.

Tehran festival to screen short films from ECO members PDF Print E-mail

ECO member countries have submitted 49 films to the 26th Tehran International Short Film Festival.

Short films produced by cineastes representing Turkey, Afghanistan, Kirgizstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan will be going on screen during the event. The festival will be held from November 11 to 16.

The 16th edition of the Isfahan International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults was inaugurated Saturday at the Nur Garden of Isfahan.
