40th Roshd film fest announces winners PDF Print E-mail

The fourteeth Roshd film festival specializing on children and young adults film held its final ceremony by selecting best works and artists.

Rezai's "A light in the fog" won the best feature film special prize by jury while Ebrahim Forouzesh won the First Prize for his film named" First Stone".

In short film section "Packed Air " by Akbar Torab pour won the first prize.

The best films made by the student film makers was "E-cut" a documentary by Nasim Akbarpour, "

Tehran festival dedicates section to Kurdish short films

The 27th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival is dedicating the section Rojna to films produced in the Kurdish language this year.

The festival organizers have opened this section with the aim of strengthening local cinema and recognizing potentials and talents in different provinces of the country.

A collection of 16 shorts coming from Sanandaj, Marivan, Kermanshah, Mahabad, Baneh and Ilam will go

Turkey, Lebanon and Singapore have the highest number of films sent by Muslim states with 38, 22 and 18 productions respectively.

"The festival's selection committee will choose the best films for the competition section," festival director Hashem Mirzakhani said.

Parviz Sheikhtadi, Seyyed Morteza Seyyedinejad and Milad Dokhanchi are this year's selection

The 24th edition of Iran's International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults has kicked off in the country's western city of Hamadan.

More than 60 Iranian animations as well as short and feature-length films will compete in the event's national competition section while 200 productions from 32 countries will vie for this year's awards in the international competition section.

Organizers of the 24th Hamedan International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults will honor four veterans of Iranian cinema with lifetime achievement awards.

The tribute will be paid to the deceased film producer Mohammad-Baqer Ashtiani, actor Morteza Ahmadi and comedy actors Akbar Abdi and Alireza Khamseh.

The festival will take place in Hamedan- Northern Iran- from October 8 to 12.
