Foreign storytellers to recount tales of their motherland at Iranian festival.

Ten foreign storytellers will share tales from their motherland with Iranian children at the 14th International Storytelling Festival.

The festival has been organized by the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) and will be held from February 19 to 22 in Bandar Abbas.

The storytellers were selected from 17 foreign storytellers who submitted their works to the secretariat of the gala, the festival director Mohammad-Baqer Adusi mentioned in a press release.

The festival will be held in five sections namely articles, story telling, the winners of the selected, IIDCYA storytellers and international storytellers.

Books containing selected stories from previous editions will be offered for sale at the festival. Three books that include stories from Gilan, Yazd and Fars provinces will also be offered at the festival.

The Iranian participants will compete from January 8 to 17 in Western Azarbaijan, Ilam, Semnan, Kerman and Chahar-Mahal-o Bakhtiari provinces and the winners will compete at the festival.

Stories on Iranian and Islamic events, values and concepts, and stories from the life of Prophet Muhammad (S) are the main themes of the festival.
