Secretariat of ninth Shahid Ghanipour literary festival announced the names of books and writers nominated for its 9th award.

The Competition started in a small mosque downtown Tehran and is named after a martyre of Iran-Iraq war, called Ghanipour a literary figure in his youth and a member of the mosque before martyrdom, while the writers who gathered to organize the festival have succeded

to uphold the event during past nine years and make it a national literary event.

Naturally the event emphasizes on war literature and this year will see one of the following to win the prize:

Short story: "Photo Album" by Asghar Ostad Hassan Memar, " A fountain for Two" by Zohre Yazdan Panah", " Visa to Heavens" by Abbas Jaffar Moghaddam and "Final Sequennce" by Jamshid Abbasi have entered the final stage of judgement.

Fiction: "Blood Writing" by Mohammad Reza Bayrami and "Cuckoos return to their nest" by Majid Mohammadi were selected the best of entries.

Biographies: "DA" by Seyyede Azam Hosseini, " The Hidden Half of the Moon" by Najme ketabi, "8 o'clock in that morning" by Laleh Jaffari, "Bride of the Sky" by Vajihe Ali Akbari and " I ran along with you" by Amene Adineh had the chance to enter the final stage of judgment.

The prize giving ceremony will be held Wed Evening of 12th Esfand in Hoze Honari Hall,Tehran.
