Eight works found way into Sixth Ashoura Cults congress in the first selection round.

Jury team of research branch of the Sixth Ashoura Cults congress chose eight works in the first selection round, the jury members being Rahmat Amini, Mohammad Hoseein Nasserbakht, and Ardeshir Salehpoor. The select works at the first level are: "Super-realistic characters in Shabih-khani" written by Rasoul Nazar-Zadeh, "Marriage of history and mythology in Ta'zieh" written by Arash Pezhman, "Ta'zieh as a system" by Iraj Afshari Asl, "Dramatic Tragi-cults at Persian Gulf shores" by Jahanshir Yar-Ahmadi, "Chel Manbar" by Shokoufeh Masouri, "Reflection of religions in Shabih-Khani" by Reza Kuchak-zadeh, "A deconstructionist study of Culture/nature opposition in Ta'zieh" by Sadegh Rashidi, and "A comparative study of traditional vs. cult plays in modern religious theater of Iran" by Behzad Sedighi.

This is the primary list of selections and the final selection will be made after receiving the original articles by the writers. Select articles will be published in a volume.
