Int'l section of Razavi Poetry wraps up PDF Print E-mail

A ceremony will be held in Mashad on the birth anniversary of Imam Reza to close the international section of the 7th Razavi Poetry festival which will be attended by some 20 prominent Islamic poets representing Persian speaking countries.

The poets will be representing countries like Iraq, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon and Uzbekistan. According to the secretary of the seventh Razavi International Poetry Festival, the convention is held in three sections:

provincial, national and international.  Amir Barzegar Khorasani said the closing ceremony of the national section of the festival will be held in Kerman and the international section will be in Tehran.

As he added some 600 pieces have been submitted to the secretariat of the festival which are being assessed by the judges. He said in the poetry section of the festival 8 poets will be selected as the winners and in other sections 3 poets will be the winners. Last year 400 penmen took part in the festival.

Closing ceremony will be held in Mashad to wrap the festival on October 22, he added.

Mahmoud Ekramifar will manage the ceremony to announce the winners and recite poems
